Adult & Senior Memberships

If you wish to join as a new member for the coming years, you must register for the waitlist.

Note that currently there are already more than 1300 names on the waitlist and therefore we have temporarily disabled the waitlist registration.

We are in the process of refreshing the waitlist.

When the names have dropped to a more manageable level, we will update this page with an advance heads-up of when the waitlist registration will be re-opened.

Thank you for your interest in Howard Park Tennis Club.

Junior Membership

(Updated Dec 27th 2021)

Juniors who wish to join as a new member must register for the waitlist.

When spots become available (around February or March), we will email a number of names from the top of the waitlist (based on the number of spots available) with an invitation on how to register for membership and make payments.

We will open the Junior waitlist registration on Sunday, January 30th 2022 at 19:00 EST.

We anticipate it will fill-up very quickly, so make sure to mark your calendar if interested. First come first serve.

Keep in mind that there is no guarantee to be invited as a new member for the upcoming season. It depends on how many openings we will have.

For more details, please read our Junior Waitlist Policy and our FAQ on Membership.

Note:

  1. Juniors must be 18 years or under as of January 1st of the current year.
  2. Seniors must be 60 years or older before January 1st of the current year.
  3. The New Member rate applies if you were not a member during the previous season.
  4. Online registrations are not subject to any additional processing or transaction fees.

Our Refund Policy

Requests for refunds on membership fees must be received by May 1 of the current membership year, the refund deadline.

A full refund will be issued minus a $25 administration fee. No refunds will be issued after the refund deadline.

Adult & Senior Waitlist Policy

  • Waitlist is based on a strict sequence.
  • Each Adult / Senior wishing to be on this waitlist (we have a separate waitlist for Juniors) must be individually registered regardless if you are a family or not.
IMPORTANT: you must use a unique email address for each name.
  • A Senior must be 60 years or older before January 1st of the year that they are invited to be a member.
  • From November / December onward, we will send an email to those of you who are at and near the top of the waitlist. We request that you confirm whether you are still interested to join / wait. Failure to respond within 1 (one) week from the time the email was sent will result in your name being removed from the list and you will have to reapply.
  • When spots become available (around February or March), we will email a number of people from the top of the waitlist (based on the number of spots available) with an invitation on how to register for membership and make payments. Failure to register for membership and complete the payments within 3 (three) days will result in a rescinded invitation although your name will still be kept in sequence on the waitlist. We would then offer the spot to another name further down the list until all spots are taken.
  • It is your responsibility to make sure your email address is accurate and up-to-date.

Note that The City of Toronto asks that waitlist members from the City of Toronto must be given preference over those from outside the City borders.

FAQ

I’ve registered on the waitlist. Do I have a chance to get in this year?

It depends on where you are on the waitlist and how many members from the previous year decided to return.

How long is the waitlist?

As of July 27th 2021, there are more than 1300 names on the waitlist.

When will I know if I can be a member?

Around February or March, if there are spots for new members, we will be contacting those who are at the top of the waitlist via email.

Does the waitlist continue year after year?

Yes, it does continue year after year.

I am a member. Can I add my family to my account for them to be a member as well?

Unfortunately no. They would have to sign-up on our waitlist and wait for an invite to be a member.

I heard I can line-up in person on Opening Day to register for membership. Is this true?

We did that in the past, but starting in 2021 we will only invite new members strictly from the waitlist.
