Junior Summer Tennis Camps

Learn to play and improve in our week-long camps for juniors aged 4 to 18. These sessions include both on and off-court training. The emphasis is on fun while improving athletic, coordination and tennis skills through drills and competitive play. Our certified coaches use progressive tennis methods in accordance with ITF (International Tennis Federation) and Tennis Canada standards.

Monday to Friday: mornings, afternoons or full-days

Schedule

8:45 to 9 a.m. Arrival
9 to 9:30 a.m. Warm-up and coordination/dexterity skills
9:30 to noon On-court tennis drills and other sport activities
Noon to 1 p.m. Supervised lunch
1 to 4 p.m. Coordination training and other activities (indoors if hot), and on-court tennis drills
4 to 5 p.m. Paid extended care available upon request

2016 Camp Sessions:

1. Jun 20 to 24 7. Aug 2 to 5*
2. Jun 27 to 30* 8. Aug 8 to 12
3. Jul 4 to 8 9. Aug 15 to 19
4. Jul 11 to 15 10. Aug 22 to 26
5. Jul 18 to 22 11. Aug 29 to Sep 2
6. Jul 25 to 29

Cost:

  • Morning (9 a.m. to noon) = $199+HST (*4 day camp = $159+HST)
  • Afternoon (1 to 4 p.m.) = $189+HST (*4 day camp = $159+HST)
  • Full-day (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) = $359+HST (*4 day camp = $287+HST)
    Full day camps are not recommended for children under 8 years unless they are VERY passionate!
  • Extended care available upon request (4 to 5 p.m.) = $12/day, $50/week
  • Drop-in, if available = $50 per half-day, or $75+HST per full-day

What to Bring to the Camps

Recommended for all campers: tennis shoes, athletic attire (layers if weather is cool), a racquet, water bottle, snacks, sunblock and a hat. Please bring a lunch for full-day sessions. We will have some racquets available for loan – please request in advance.

In the Event of Rain

Classes will be held in the clubhouse if it rains. Students will partake in fitness and coordination exercises, play table tennis, hit on the backboard, cover rules, etiquette, etc. To further enhance on-court lessons, coaches may also play tennis videos.
